PAWS ON PAROLE Learning, Giving, Changing Lives The Paws on Parole program pairs shelter dogs from Alachua County Animal Services with inmates from the Florida Dept. of Corrections. The dogs live with and are trained by the inmates for 8 weeks. Using positive training techniques the handlers teach the dogs the basic skills necessary to pass the AKC's Canine Good Citizen Test and to improve their chance of adoption into a forever home.
