PAWS ON PAROLE

Learning, Giving, Changing Lives

The "Paws on Parole" program pairs dogs from Alachua County Animal Services with inmates from the Florida Dept. of Corrections. The Dogs live with and are trained by the inmates for 8 weeks. Using only positive training techniques, the handlers teach the dogs the basic skills necessary to pass the American Kennel Club's Canine Good Citizen test thereby improving their chance of adoption into a forever home.
